More About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Planning, you will be partnering with your Buyer and leading your Allocator to implement your department’s strategy to deliver sales & profit results.
What You Will be Doing
Working collaboratively with your Buyer to build financial budgets that support the overall business outcomes
Develop post seasonal and strategic plans on a half yearly basis with the buyer and agree forward department strategy aligned to company strategy and objectives
Analyse and manage margin mix through stock turn, GMROI, assortment mix, markdown program and marketing program
Review merchandise and financial performance weekly with buyer
Monthly in season review of department performance with senior leadership team
Ensure the best end cost to the business for the delivery of product
Coach, guide and develop your allocator in line with business goals
Ensure adherence to allocation guidelines and principles to manage stock to sales ratio, individual store forward weeks cover, stock turn, GMROI and return on floor space
Establish and manage item plans for imports and local ongoing lines, to effectively manage stock flow to stores and optimise inventory investment to DC and stores
Determine and maintain replenishment parameters managed to optimise inventory in core products
About You
You will have at least 3+ years’ working in apparel planning
Must have advanced Excel skills
SAP and Micro Strategies experience will be highly regarded
Demonstrated experience with effective stakeholder management
Experience collaborating with retail operations and supply chain
Strong analytical skills and adaptable to change
Excellent communication skill – written and verbal
Enjoy a fast paced and collaborative team culture
Comfortable asking for help and willing to help others to achieve the best outcomes
