Spotlight Retail Group is seeking a proactive and dynamic WorkCover Advisor to join our team
Reporting to the Group Safety Manager, in this position you will be responsible for effective management and administration of WorkCover claims across all jurisdictions to minimise the financial impact of workplace incidents.
You will collaborate with stakeholders providing advice in relation to their rights and obligations while assisting our team members throughout the life of a WorkCover claim, focusing on sustainable Return to Work.
Supporting our team members through the injury management process while focusing on early return to work benefits
Ongoing effective communication with Insurers to positively impact outcomes
Undertaking required investigations to gather required information and support insurers receive the information required to assess liability.
Partnering with managers to maximize injured worker reintegration.
Data-driven insights: regular reports and analysis for continuous improvement.
Medical and rehabilitation collaboration: facilitating "return to work" programs.
Compliance and guidance: ensuring adherence to legislation and SRG procedures.
Strategic safety support: driving success within safety and compensation functions.
Regular file reviews: mitigating injury impacts and fostering positive outcomes.
Culture of care: fostering empathy for injured workers and organizational success.
About You
You must have at least three years’ experience within the Workers Compensation Industry
Relevant tertiary qualification
Demonstrated experience dealing with WorkCover matters
Strong knowledge of WHS & WorkCover legislation
Sound knowledge of industrial and employee relations theory, principles, policies and practices
Highly trusted advisor, strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing demands within our dynamic environments
Demonstrated proactiveness, critical thinking and active listening skills
Analytical, research and problem-solving abilities.
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Rational and constructive approach.
Identifying and implementing solutions.
Proven negotiation and advocacy skills.
In this role, you will provide timely delivery and advice, supporting the overall safety strategy and technical advice to our business.
