About the Role
As our People & Culture Manager, you'll be a hands-on, business-facing leader, working closely with leaders across Harris Scarfe to guide, coach, and collaborate on all things people-related. You'll be the trusted advisor, bringing helpful and innovative solutions to the everyday challenges of a dynamic retail environment.
This pivotal role will see you championing:
- Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborating with business leaders to translate HR strategy into tangible results that support commercial goals.
- Talent Management: Leading the charge on talent planning, recruitment, and retention – attracting top-tier talent and fostering their growth within our organisation.
- Performance & Development: Coaching and supporting managers through performance reviews and capability development initiatives.
- Employee & Industrial Relations: Providing expert, trusted advice on employee relations, industrial matters, and compliance, navigating workplace issues with fairness and confidence.
- Learning & Development: Shaping our approach to L&D to meet the evolving needs of a modern retail workforce.
- Engagement & Culture: Driving engagement through insights, surveys, and actionable plans, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Change Leadership: Leading and supporting change initiatives that keep our business future-fit and agile.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilising data and reporting to inform smart, people-first decisions.
About You
You're a seasoned HR professional with a proven track record of success in a similar leadership role. We're looking for someone who is:
- Tertiary qualified in HR, business, or a related field.
- Possesses a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a leadership position (e.g., People & Culture Manager or Senior Business Partner).
- Ideally experienced in retail or similar fast-paced, multi-site industries, understanding the unique demands of this environment.
- Confident navigating complexity, yet always seeking the simplest, most helpful path forward.
- Known for being approachable, proactive, and outcome-driven.
- Comfortable working autonomously and trusted by senior stakeholders.
- Possesses excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- A natural problem-solver with sound judgment and strong business acumen.
