What You Will be Doing:

  • Collaborate with your Buyer to build financial budgets that support overall business targets
  • Develop half-yearly post-season and strategic plans, aligning department strategy to company objectives
  • Analyse and optimise margin mix via stock turn, GMROI, assortment, markdowns, and marketing support
  • Review merchandise and financial performance weekly with your Buyer, and present monthly in-season updates to the senior leadership team
  • Negotiate and secure the most cost-effective outcomes for product delivery to maximise business profitability.
  • Monitor and uphold allocation principles to effectively manage stock-to-sales ratios, forward weeks cover by store, stock turn. GMROI and return on floor space
  • Establish and manage item plans for imports and local lines - optimising inventory flow to DC and stores
  • Set replenishment parameters to keep core products in stock without over-investment
  • Coach, guide, and develop your Allocator to hit team goals and grow their capability

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years’ experience in apparel or manchester planning
  • Advanced Excel skills; SAP and Micro Strategies experience highly regarded
  • Strong analytical mindset, adaptable to change, and data-driven decision making
  • Proven stakeholder management - collaborating with buying, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a proactive and helpful approach
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative culture; comfortable both asking for help and supporting other
