More About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Planning, you will be partnering with your Buyer and leading your Allocator to implement your department’s strategy to deliver sales & profit results.
What You Will be Doing
- Working collaboratively with your Buyer to build financial budgets that support the overall business outcomes
- Develop post seasonal and strategic plans on a half yearly basis with the buyer and agree forward department strategy aligned to company strategy and objectives
- Analyse and manage margin mix through stock turn, GMROI, assortment mix, markdown program and marketing program
- Review merchandise and financial performance weekly with buyer
- Monthly in season review of department performance with senior leadership team
- Ensure the best end cost to the business for the delivery of product
- Coach, guide and develop your allocator in line with business goals
- Ensure adherence to allocation guidelines and principles to manage stock to sales ratio, individual store forward weeks cover, stock turn, GMROI and return on floor space
- Establish and manage item plans for imports and local ongoing lines, to effectively manage stock flow to stores and optimise inventory investment to DC and stores
- Determine and maintain replenishment parameters managed to optimise inventory in core products
About You
- You will have at least 2+ years’ working in apparel planning
- Must have advanced Excel skills
- SAP and Micro Strategies experience will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience with effective stakeholder management
- Experience collaborating with retail operations and supply chain
- Strong analytical skills and adaptable to change
- Excellent communication skill – written and verbal
- Enjoy a fast paced and collaborative team culture
- Comfortable asking for help and willing to help others to achieve the best outcomes
