Are you an experienced Apparel Planner with a knack for strategy and a passion for retail?

 

Here's an exciting opportunity to join a well-established Australian retailer within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Harris Scarfe, part of the Spotlight Retail Group, is looking for a talented Planner to help drive our promotional and inventory strategies forward.

This is a permanent role where you'll be a key player in our planning team, reporting to the General Manager of Planning. You'll partner directly with a Buyer and lead an Allocator, creating and executing strategies that drive sales and profitability.

We're a promotional-driven business, which means you'll play a crucial role in forecasting and analysing the impact of our promotional activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with this kind of environment and can thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume retail setting.

This is a hybrid role based in a vibrant, supportive team culture that embraces new ideas and rewards initiative.

 

 

What You Will be Doing

  • Collaborate with your Buyer to create and manage financial budgets and strategic plans.
  • Analyze and manage margin mix through promotional impact, markdowns, inventory flow, and assortment.
  • Review weekly and monthly performance with senior leadership, making data-driven recommendations.
  • Coach and develop your Allocator to help them achieve business goals.
  • Manage stock flow to stores and optimize inventory investment by establishing and maintaining item and replenishment plans.

 

About You

  • You Must Have at least 2+ years of experience in Apparel Planning.
  • You have advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
  • You have experience with effective stakeholder management, collaborating with retail operations and supply chain teams.
  • You're a strong communicator, both written and verbal, who enjoys a fast-paced, collaborative team culture.
  • You're comfortable asking for help and willing to assist others to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Experience with SAP and Micro Strategies, TSG Category is highly regarded.
